  • 1823.- El general, Simón Bolívar, es nombrado libertador del Perú.
  • 1824.- El Libertador Simón Bolívar es nombrado dictador por el Congreso del Perú.
  • 1941.- Se inaugura el Hospital Obrero de Lima. Hoy "Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen". Entidad líder en docencia, investigación y asistencia en salud.
  • 1946.- en la tercera corrida de la temporada de verano de la Plaza de Acho, el público peruano queda sorprendido con el valor y personalidad del torero cordobés Manuel Rodríguez Sánchez "Manolote".
